Supporting our local community & charities

At Farndon Fields, we're proud to be a part of our local community and are committed to giving back. In 2019, we supported over 100 local groups, community fundraisers and charity events.

We also continued our sponsorship of the Borough Alliance Youth football team and started a new sporting sponsorship which we're excited to announce soon.

Throughout the year in the Farm Shop we welcomed local organisations to bag pack at the tills to help our customers with their shopping and to enable the groups to raise some money. The local Sea Cadets supported our till team at our Christmas Shopping Evening in November, we also hosted teams from Market Harborough Rugby Club, the Bowden Scouts and the Twenty Twelve Lions Club at other busy times in 2019. They all did a fantastic job and helped our customers to pack their bags as well as carrying their shopping to the car. ​

We receive requests to support community events and charity fundraisers throughout the year. We love that we are able to support these events and are proud to have made donations to over 100 different charitable events in our local area in 2019.

One donation we made was raffled off in support of The Chequers at Swinford fundraising for Cancer Research. Emma, who organised the event said 'Thank you so much for your afternoon tea donation for our prize draw. In 3 weeks we raised £460 which is an amazing amount raised and thank you for helping us support this charity!'

We also sponsored the Market Harborough Gardening Club show, the Blaston Show, the Northants Young Farmers Club Rally and the Husbands Bosworth & Theddingworth Sheep Dog Trials Show.

Giving back is all part of being in a community and we love being part of our Market Harborough community. We can't wait to continue to support local causes in 2020 - please do get in touch if you're planning an event!
