Butcher

We are looking for a full time experienced butcher to join the team.

Farndon Fields is an award winning family run business which was established in 1983 and strives to be the ultimate destination for local food and farming. The business is located on the edge of Market Harborough and currently consists of a 500 acre arable farm, a large farm shop with a butchery, deli, garden centre and a restaurant.

Farndon Fields butchery prepares top quality cuts of meat from beef, pork, lamb, and poultry which are sourced from the best local farmers in the area. The working hours for this role can be flexible to meet the butchery’s requirements. The role is full time with some weekend work required.

To be successful as a butcher at Farndon Fields you will

  • Need to deliver excellent customer service by communicating your enthusiasm and expertise to customers on the butchery counter.

  • Have the skills to manage full carcass butchery across sheep, cattle, pork, and poultry. Sausage making experience is desirable but not essential.

  • Have up to date food hygiene and safety certificates and experience of HACCP.

  • Need to be able to work and thrive in a busy environment. ​
